Early November, coast of Maine. I used my palette knife and only three colors (yellow ochre, burnt sienna, ultramarine blue) plus white. The clouds were moving fast, I had to paint quickly to capture the scene. It was windy but my easel didn’t blow over because I had it bungee corded to the car door.
