In 2009 I enjoyed painting this so much perhaps because I like to eat pomegranates (with the arils rolled onto balls of cream cheese!) and because I like the color red. To me, pomegranates are a symbol of peace and posterity, love and joy, and are a reminder of gatherings of family and friends over the years. Painted in 2009.
