Louise’s oak, late morning sun
$1,000.00
I pushed the color. The actual scene was beige and gray, but the hope of early spring on a rare warm day in March called for rich colors.
Description
Louise’s oak, late morning sun, is a fine art oil painting on canvas, original, one of a kind, by Alison C. Dibble. It was painted outdoors in a single session (alla prima), and is 14 x 11 inches (35.6 x 28 cm). It is in a simple wood-pattern composite frame. The price ($1000) includes handling, packing and shipping within the lower 48 states of the USA*.
I was studying painting with my friend Louise Bourne in 2008. On a sunny day in early spring, Louise challenged us to go outdoors and paint what we saw. This tree caught my imagination with its branch shadows gracing the trunk.
