A large abstract painting expresses peacefulness, a quiet evening, still water disturbed only by the slow stroke of the canoe paddle.
The strand-like reflections are of grasses on the surface of the quiet waters of Black Pond. We were canoeing in the evening, the bugs weren’t too bad at all, and I had the camera close to the water surface. The birds were singing their evening songs. Doesn’t the summer go by so fast! I keep trying to find a way to express a sentiment, to hold onto these moments.
Screens differ in the display of colors. I photographed the painting in natural daylight in an effort to represent the colors as truly as possible.
