Autumn blueberry field

$500.00

We can hardly believe our eyes in October when the Maine blueberry fields turn rich red, pink, orange. This lasts just a short time, then comes…winter!

Description

Autumn blueberry field is an original fine art oil painting, one-of-a-kind, by Alison C. Dibble. It was painted en plein air (outside, in front of the subject) on a panel, 8×10 inches (20.3 x 25.4 cm). It comes in a simple brown wood-pattern composite frame and is ready to hang. The price ($500 USD) includes packing, handling and shipping to the lower 48 states of the USA*.

When the autumn winds blow and October arrives in Maine wild blueberry country, we can hardly believe how red the blueberry fields become. The fields turn orange, hot pink, many kinds of red; they are such a vivid sight! I stood in the field and marveled at the challenge I faced. I wanted to capture how I felt about the bright colors. Then I used four different tubes of red to make this painting (Cadmium red, Alizarin crimson, Mars red, Quinacridone red — yes, all in one painting, but each mixed with other colors, none straight from the tube).

This show of color is an outstanding way to end a beautiful growing season before the snows of November arrive.
