Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, oil on panel, 11 x 14 inches, by Alison C. Dibble
Storms on the rocky Maine shore can be so violent that the earth shakes with the force of the waves, especially at Pemaquid. But not at dawn on a beautiful warm day, when the tide was coming gently. I painted as fast as I could before the early light intensified. I thought about the many storms this lighthouse has endured. Lives were saved because of the dedication of the people who worked here years ago. Price includes shipping within the USA.
